- That Volvo driver on 85, I've some news for you: just because Volvo claims your vehicle is statistically safer than other vehicles doesn't give you license to drive like a dick. Just saying.
- If you're going to cross the pedestrian crosswalk at the top of a freeway off-ramp, you might want to wait until the pedestrian crossing light is in your favour. Also, if you're planning on doing this while holding an umbrella, don't have the umbrella open and completely blocking your view of the cars coming off the freeway at 60+mph. Also, it's not raining: what are you doing with an umbrella?
- Googlers still need adult supervision when they leave the safety of their campus. Disaster was narrowly avoided today when three Googlers on their corporate bicycles ran a red light and crossed in front of a row of oncoming traffic. Luckily most of the oncoming traffic was either stopped or slowing down, so all that resulted was some driver-side diapers going off.

I didn't know that
I got tired of following Dilbert after the first year. Some of them are funny, but I didn't think it was worth the waste of energy to go read them all and then filter the diamonds from the shit. Besides, my colleagues who somehow do find the time to don the rubber gloves usually bring me the funny ones (I particularly liked the "Texas coworker with the colourful folk sayings" thread, since I had another colleague just like that.)
What I didn't know was that Scott Adams is a proponent of idiot design, apparently.

Lessons in HD
My wife still doesn't understand HD. She thinks that the whole idea is that it's supposed to make people more attractive. Her life has been one of disappointment after another ever since we got our new HD TiVo.
Cutting edge
What am I doing with my shiny new HD TiVo? Why catching up with old episodes of the original Star Trek, of course! I'm watching "The Apple" right now. They've just beamed down to the planet surface with 5 - yes, 5! - redshirts! It's going to be a bloodbath!
